Our programme and curriculum Kindergarten

We know that a play remains an important aspect of every child's life so through daily play, team activities, sports and games, our children gradually develop their motor skills and build good character.Creativity and expression are encouraged through art and craft, music and movement, and role play.This is done through our children’s daily life practices and experience at our kindergarten; inspirational learning through stories and sharing; and most of all a guidance of our teachers. English learning programme for children is an innovative language British Programme /critical listening programme/ based on the principles of natural language development. We use it for our weekly topics. Teachers are there to lead children to be independent by dressing themselves up, tidying up, cleaning, staying safe, gardening and simple cooking or baking.

An example of our weekly topic: CARNIVALS

Monday	What is carnival? Have you been at the carnival before? What mask did you have?	Activities: show & tell, sharing day,clay lesson, Panda story, carnival decorating of our class, learning a new song- The more we get together, new letter-letter W
Tuesday	Why do people have masks at the carnival? What mask would you like to have and why?	Physical Education at our soft third playground, tracing syllables, making of mask-part 1 (cutting the mask).
Wednesday	Do you know where is the biggest carnival every year? Are carnivals in every country?	making of a mask-part 2 (decorating of the mask), worksheet-W, guess the object from the shadow.
Thursday	Why do we have carnivals at this time? What do we celebrate?	dancing lesson, tracing sheet- animal moves, indoor exercising-throwing and catching a ball, colouring sheet-letter W.
Friday	repeating all the themes we were talking about	smart board, Spanish lesson, Crazy art lesson

We are going to learn:

that carnival is very funny and people are wearing masks
that we can make the masks,not only buy them
that carnivals are all over the world
that the biggest carnival is every year in Rio de Janeiro
that the wearing of mask is a tradition
that masks are colourful
